Most asked yurt questions
Do I need a deck? Strictly speaking, a deck is not required. A yurt requires a round floor to sit on, and to wrap around, in order to create a good seal for 4 season use. Your round floor can also be your deck. There are lots of ways to do it. (decks are a good idea generally).
Can you install my yurt? Almost every Yurta client has setup their yurt on their own, with our owner’s manual and installation video preparation and support. We do very limited installations within driving distances.
How big is the package for pickup?
All models fit strapped down in the back of a standard open pickup truck. A cargo van is typically ideal.
How many people fit inside the yurt? It depends on how you use it and what you need!
The 17′ yurt sleeps 2-4 comfortably, depending on the particular setup. It can fit 14 or more people, depending on the layout and use of space.
The 21′ yurt sleeps 2-6 comfortably, depending on the particular setup. It can fit 20 or more people depending on the layout and use of space.
When can I pick one up? It depends on the time of year but usually 4-6 weeks. Spring and summer are the busiest times.
